REBECCA ELIZABETH "VEGGIE" GONZALES mother August 8, 1982 SAMVASTION LILITH "SAMMY" daughter October 14, 2000 GUADALUPE Early 2012 To September 14, 2011 Rebecca, Samvastion and Guadalupe crossed over to Eternal Life at the hands of violence on September 14, 2011. They are survived by Susana Bianchi-Peters mother, grandmother, Michael A. Gonzales father, grandfather, Amanda N. Gonzales sister, aunt, Sarah L. W. Peters sister, aunt, Keenan D. E. Peters brother, uncle, Connor T. B. Peters brother, uncle, Dr. Baudelio Garza, Dr. Elizabeth Barrett Garza and Amparo Roman, dec. Gonzales grandparents, great-grandparents and P. Michael Peters step-father to Rebecca. They are also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends. Rebecca's great love for babies led her to open her home for child-care. She worked for and volunteered at The Circle School, was an assistant coach for NEYSO Special Olympics Soccer Team, supported live music, the arts community and hula-hooping. She loved to dance. "Miss Veggie" loved all of her kids, their parents, and every living thing. Her favorite colour was rainbow. She also held a great appreciation for port-a-potties. Above all, she loved and adored her daughter Sammy. One of the last causes she championed was to save the U.S. Postal Service by encouraging family and friends to write more letters. Sammy's courage shone through as an inspiration to all the lives she touched. She loved to sing and dance and performed with the Center Stage Academy at the Harlequin Dinner Theatre Ft. Sam Houston. As a student at Cambridge Elementary School AHISD, she loved her friends, classmates and teachers. She wanted to become a teacher and also write a book about her life to let the world know what she experienced. Sammy loved to spend time with her aunts, uncles, cousins, many, many friends and her rats "Benny" and "The Jets." For Guadalupe Levi Mataga, father: We never had the blessing of welcoming you to this world, but know that you were loved and cherished by many hearts and hands that were awaiting you arrival. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 1-2pm at Crockett Park. From 2-4pm we will play. We ask that you bring a picnic lunch, camp chairs, soccer balls and hula-hoops, and join us in celebration of these beautiful spirits whose lives have touched not only their family, but the nation. Live music The Weetles, snow-cones, and of course, port-a-potties will be featured. Share with us the theme of the afternoon's gathering, "Just Love," the testament by which Rebecca simply yet so eloquently lived by.
