Rene Rubio went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2025, at the age of 69. Rene was born on December 4, 1955 in Racine, Wisconsin to Juan G. Rubio and Josefina A. Rubio. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rene was preceded in death by his parents, Juan G. and Josefina A. Rubio, as well as his beloved sister, Velma R. Medellin and beloved brother, Gerardo Rubio. He is survived by his devoted siblings: Dionicio A. Rubio and wife Oralia, Mary E. Foster and husband Stephen D., Juan Jose Rubio and wife Alma, Humberto Rubio and wife Olga, Sandra Rubio, and Hilda R. Palencia and husband Johnny. Rene also leaves behind a cherished extended family, including his sister-in-law, Diana Rubio, 20 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom were dear to his heart. Rene’s career as an Electrician spanned many years, and he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability. He took great pride in his work and always went above and beyond in everything he did. But outside of work, Rene’s greatest joys were simple moments spent with his family, his pets, and his love of animals. Growing up on his Tio Jr’s. ranch, Rene developed a deep affection for animals, especially horses. His connection with animals was a defining part of his personality. In particular, Rene had a special bond with his dogs. His loyal companions Bojangles (who preceded him in passing), Chiquita, and Rinche brought him immense comfort and joy. Even now, his dogs wait for him to walk through the door, a testament to the love they shared. Rene’s sense of humor was one of his most endearing qualities. He had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh, and his wit and infectious smile brightened the lives of his siblings, friends, and family. He had a way of lifting spirits and creating joy even in the most difficult of times. Above all, Rene will be remembered for his loving nature, his strong bond with family, and the kindness he showed to others. His absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him. Rene will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
