It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Lynn George, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who entered the gates of heaven on March 3, 2023. Robin was a devoted family woman who found great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on August 30, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, Robin was the daughter of Harry E. Duncan and Hazel Lucille Duncan. She attended Winston Churchill High School and Texas State (formerly Southwest Texas State University) before embarking on a successful career in the insurance industry. Robin worked at USAA Insurance Co for 32 years before retiring and then worked at Mercury Insurance for almost 10 years before retiring full-time. On January 12, 1990, Robin married the love of her life, AJ George, and they shared a beautiful journey for 27 years until his passing in 2017. Robin was a devoted wife to AJ and enjoyed traveling and playing golf with him. Robin was a proud and loving mother to her son Chuck and cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandsons Ryan and Luke, and her great-grandchildren Owen, Cooper, Emery, and Nora. She was always there for her family, providing love, support, and guidance whenever they needed it. Robin had a passion for reading and loved her daily ritual of reading the newspaper from cover to cover, always eager to share what she had learned with her family and friends. She also had a deep love for the German Schnauzer dog breed, having owned her beloved Jack for over 12 years. She also loved to collect antique glass and even learned how to make glass. Robin will be deeply missed for her sense of humor, kind heart, and healthy curiosity. Her older sister Carol was her best friend, and they spoke every evening on the phone, as did Robin with her son Chuck every day. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hazel, and her younger brother, Harry J.R. She is survived by her son Chuck (Laurie), grandsons Ryan (Taylor), Luke, sister Carol, brother Tim (Teresa), and nephews Charles Duncan and Jon Dunn. The viewing for Robin will be held at Mission Park North off of 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive on Sunday, March 19, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and a graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston (Pavilion 3) on Monday, March 20, at 9:30 am.
