ROSA R. ALVARADO "In the Sweet Bye & Bye, We Shall Meet on That Beautiful Shore" We always knew our Beautiful Mama was strong; however, we did not know just how strong she was until April 12, 2005, when she suffered a massive stroke. The doctors gave her two hours to live. But among the many things we learned from her was this, "It's all in God hands, for only He knows." Our God allowed her another 5½ years to be with us, to continue loving us, teaching us, and preparing us. Although bedridden and unable to speak, she communicated with her eyes by blinking; and we knew when that blink meant yes, thank you, you're welcome, or I Love You. She was strong to the end, Oct 22, 2010, going into cardiac arrest once and returning, but unable to withstand the second. We mourn her sailing off into Paradise, yet we rejoice that she is now whole again and in the presence of her God and her Heavenly Angels. Welcoming her on the other shore are her loving parents Estefanita Garza Ramirez & Ricardo Ramirez; her beloved husband Nehemias Alvarado; brothers Ricardo Jr, Eleazar & Reynaldo Ramirez; her sister Santos Gallardo; step-grandson Augie Marmolejo, Jr; and special friends, T.C. Rendon & Irma Molina. Bidding her farewell, are her five children and their families: Esther Faulkner & her husband Clarence; Frances Garza-Alvarado & her husband Ernest Garza; Alexandra Marmolejo & her husband Augie; Albert Alvarado & his wife Sylvia; and her youngest special child Alan Alejo Alvarado & his providers Vanessa & Rev Paul Jones. Other special family members are: her sisters Juanita Gandara & Alicia Ramon of Pearsall; Grandchildren Michel Medrano; Marc & Sabine Medrano, Austin; Margo & Richard Olivarez; Alan Esteban Alvarado, Albert James Alvarado, and Adrian Marmolejo. Great-Grandchildren Michael Anthony Medrano, Geremy Medrano, Alyssa Ceja, Julia Olivarez, & Elian Medrano, Austin. Step-Grandchildren: Rose Ann Akeroyd & Steve of Tecumseh OK, Suzanne Cuellar, Daniella Dominguez & Leonard; and Annelisse Marmolejo, Anjanette Hicks & Eleazar, and Andrew Marmolejo. Step Great-Grandchildren Leslie, Christopher & Jennifer Cuellar; Dominic, Nicolas, Leonardo & Isabella Dominguez; Valerie Hicks, Avery Valdez, Ava Hicks & Jordan Marmolejo; and Ashleigh Fowler, Tecumseh OK. Step Great-Great-Grandchildren Ethan Cuellar; Ashton & Camarie-Lynn Fowler & Jaden-Marie Keys, Tecumseh OK. Our Mama was born in Pearsall TX but lived in San Antonio for over 60 years. We knew she was special because God chose her to have a special needs child; she lovingly and patiently cared for Alan up to the day of her stroke. Her last outing was to celebrate his 49th birthday at the fabulous Morgan's Wonderland on Oct 17, 2010. We thank all our family and friends who prayed for Mama and, by doing so, helped bring about the miracle of her life the past 5 ½ years. Special thanks to the Earthly Angels who helped care for her during that time: Cora Davis, Nora Herron, Leticia Ruiz & Margarita Martin del Campo. SERVICES Visitation will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 9:15 A.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment will follow At Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Rev.
