Rose Marie Steelman Davis of San Antonio, TX was born January 8th, 1936 in Bellville, TX. She went home to be with JESUS on Friday, October 23rd, 2020. She was 84yrs. young. As her heart desired, she was surrounded by all five of her children, a few of her grandchildren and great grandchildren when Jesus took her into his arms. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46yrs. the late Rev. Larry Duane Davis, her father, Luther Elliot Steelman and mother, Rosalee Mewis Steelman, and her infant son, Larry Duane Jr. She is survived by her brother, Luther James Steelman of Spring Branch, TX., three daughters and their spouse, Karren Rose & Bobby Lush of Clifton, TX., Cheryl & Steve Lawson of Carrolton, TX., Annette & Michael Feller, Sr. and two sons and their spouse, Mark & Ronda Davis and Phillip & Holly Davis, all of Elmendorf, TX. She is survived by fourteen Grandchildren, Jonathan Perdue, Tracy Galindo, Chad, Aaron, Jeremy Lawson, Timpy Feller Tiemann, Michael (Bear) Feller, Jr., Alisha Feller Cornett, Mark T. Davis, II, Stacy Davis Kagebein, Brittany Davis, Bradley Davis, Kaci Davis Gonzales, and Preston Davis. And seventeen Great Grandchildren, Lauren, Halle Kate, & Olivia Perdue, Kaitlynn & Bryan Stough, Jayce Lawson, Addison Feller, Lincoln & Reagan Tiemann, Cadence, Dakota Rose, & Emerson Cornett, Tripp & Carter Davis, Harvin, Rowen, DJ “Trace” Kagebein, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many precious friends. Rose Marie was a school cafeteria cook and manager for East Central ISD for many years. She was an excellent cook and great with children. She had many talents; she loved to paint, loved to sew and handmade or recreated/redesigned the wedding dresses for all three daughters and several church family members. She loved to travel, especially the back roads of Texas. She loved caring for people, especially the elderly. She loved Southern Gospel Music and it gave her great joy to hear her children and grandchildren sing. A special time celebrating the “Life of Rose Marie Steelman Davis” with the family will be on Sunday, November 8th, @ 3:00PM at the Alamo City Christian Fellowship located at 6500 IH35 North (access road between Rittiman & Eisenhauer Rd.)
