Rose Marie Limon, 90, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. There are no words strong enough for a loss like this. Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to the woman who was not only the center of our family, but the soul that held us all together. She was our comfort, our safe place, our greatest blessing—and life will never feel the same without her. Rose Marie was born on February 9, 1936, and lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion. She didn’t just love—she loved deeply, completely, and without limits. Everyone who knew her felt it. Everyone who was blessed to be loved by her carries a piece of her in their heart forever. As a wife, she shared a beautiful 72 years of love and devotion with her beloved husband, Atilano “Eddie” Limon Jr., the love of her life. Their love was rare and unshakable—a bond built on faith, loyalty, and a lifetime of standing side by side. It was the kind of love most only hope to find. As a mother, she was everything a child could ever need—gentle, strong, patient, selfless, and endlessly loving. She gave her children not just a life, but a foundation of faith, strength, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother to Joanne Limon; Elizabeth Limon-Alejandro (John Alejandro); and Rosanne Killian (Darrell Killian). She was also a beloved sister, sharing a lifetime of love and cherished memories with her siblings, Paul Villarreal, Gloria Robertson, and Tony Villarreal. Their bond was one of laughter, shared history, and a love that only siblings understand—a love that remains even now. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. They were her joy, her pride, and her purpose. She poured her heart into each one of them, loving them in a way only a grandmother can—pure, patient, and unconditional: Diane Elizabeth Ruiz (Christopher Ruiz) and their children, the late Sophia Marie Ruiz and the late Isaiah Ruiz, who she now holds close again in Heaven; Jesus Abel Herrera Jr. and his children Isenia Simone Herrera and Abel Joaquin Herrera (Amelia Ortiz); Kevin Albert Herrera (Jennifer Herrera) and their son Mateo Javier Herrera; Felicia Rose Montalvo (Carlos Montalvo Sr.) and their children Isabella Jocelyn Montalvo, Mia Del Carmen Montalvo, and Carlos Alberto Montalvo Jr.; Jordan Marie Velazquez-Killian (Alexis Velazquez) and their twin daughters Adriana Rose Velazquez-Killian and Daniella Marie Velazquez-Killian; and Cienna Elizabeth Killian (fiancé Michael Mendez), along with many other loving family members and dear friends. She had a way of making everyone feel safe, seen, and truly loved. Her hugs were healing. Her words were comforting. Her presence alone made everything feel okay. If you were hurting, she was the one you ran to. If you were lost, she was the one who guided you back. She was home to all of us. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She trusted God in everything, and you could always turn to her for prayer. No matter how heavy life felt, she would lift you up with love, faith, and quiet strength. She also taught us the true meaning of forgiveness—showing us through her actions how to let go, how to love anyway, and how to choose grace even when it was hard. Even now, we can still feel those prayers surrounding us. As a special needs teacher, she gave her heart to helping others, showing patience, compassion, and grace to every life she touched. She made people feel valued, understood, and loved—just as she did within her own family. She taught us how to love without limits, how to stand strong when life gets hard, how to forgive, and how to hold onto our faith even in our darkest moments. Those lessons are now the pieces of her that live on in us. The world feels quieter without her laughter. The days feel heavier without her presence. There is an emptiness in our hearts that words cannot explain—because losing her is not just losing a person… it is losing a piece of who we are. But even in our grief, we hold onto this truth: her love did not leave us. It lives on in every memory, every lesson, every prayer, and every act of love we share with one another. She is still with us—in the way we care, in the way we love, in the way we keep our family together. And though we weren’t ready to let her go, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, embraced in the presence of the Lord she loved so deeply. Funeral Services Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Mission Park South Funeral Home, 1700 SE Military Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78214. A Church Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207. Burial will follow at Mission Park South. The Limon family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to all who have surrounded us with love, prayers, and support during this unimaginable loss. Your kindness has helped carry us through our darkest days, and we will never forget it. Though she is no longer by our side, her love, her faith, and her spirit will remain in our hearts always.
