We want to announce the loving memory of Rudy Sam Trevino who joined his Lord on April 21, 2024, at the age of 87 in his home in Helotes, Tx. Rudy, a compassionate man, led by his heart and his infectious laughter and friendly spirit will be greatly missed. Rudy is survived by his cherished wife, Juliet Rodriguez Trevino, and his children, daughter Jeannie Horky (husband Ryder); son Brian Trevino (wife Lisa); grandchildren Jacquelyne Molnar (husband Brandon); Ryan Horky (wife Lynette); Juliet Sunny Horky, Mitchell Trevino, and Gabrielle Trevino. Surviving brothers are Glenn Trevino (Alice); Albert Trevino (Beatrice); and Raymond Trevino (Ludy). He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolf E. Trevino and Madeline Cuevas Trevino as well as his sister Lilian Morales (Max); and brother Ernest Trevino (Eva). Born on December 20th, 1936, in San Antonio, Tx, he received his Batchelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He began his career in the HVAC business after college. Working hard to get where he was, he worked his way through the company and became the respected owner of Insco Distributing for over 30 years. Rudy was generous and dependable and truly cared about his employees, family and friends. He was there to lend a helping hand if anyone needed it, guiding and supporting people with his unwavering strength of character, integrity, and warmhearted nature. He was an exceptional leader who was appreciated by many and led by example. Donating to many charities, his kind dependable spirit touched many people’s lives. He served as the president of Boysville as well as serving on many other charitable boards and organizations. Rudy lived an eventful life, and, on the weekends, you would find him working in the yard, watching his teams the Dallas Cowboys or the University of Texas Longhorns on TV or being with his family. He loved his family unconditionally with all his heart. God and family was what he cherished most in life. He was very kind and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. He left an everlasting warm impression on everyone he knew. He had a remarkable life with his true love, Juliet, by his side for 61 treasured years and will be waiting for her to be reunited in Heaven together. Rudy will be greatly missed but we know God was calling and we take comfort in knowing he is watching over us in Heaven until we meet again. A chapel service for Rudy will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Forest Hills Presbyterian church, 13200 Bandera Road, Helotes, TX. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North, Dominion 20900 IH-10 West San Antonio, Tx 78257. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow with dinner and drinks at Pedrotti’s Ranch, 13715 FM 15670 N, Helotes Tx 78023. Everyone is invited to attend to celebrate, remember, and honor Rudy’s humble life and legacy. He will be remembered in our hearts forever.
