Sally Cardot Moore was a kind and beautiful soul who dedicated her life to following Jesus. Sally passed away after a long fight with cancer on July 12, 2024 at her residence in Schertz, Texas. She was born on November 13, 1935 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Francis Cardot and Jean Ainsworth Cardot. Sally leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness for all who knew her. She was a loving wife and is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, James Moore; sons Andy Moore (Michele) of San Antonio; Mitch Moore (Elizabeth) of Bulverde, and daughter Jenny Rose (David) of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren brought her much joy! James & Sally both originally from Erie, Pa were married in Erie at First United Methodist Church on July 6, 1957. James graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BBA degree and immediately entered active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant from 4 years of ROTC at Pitt. Sally followed her husband through 18 family moves of his 25 years active service before retirement in San Antonio, Tx. She supported her husband after retirement at Cornerstone Church for the next 18 ½ years before finally settling in a retirement community, Scenic Hills in Schertz, Tx. She was actively involved in leading Bible study at her church as well as at the community where she lived. She loved Jesus as her Lord and Savior and knew where she would be for eternity. After a long battle with breast cancer and other complications she died at home with her loving husband. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Medical Center, 8332 Fredericksburg Rd., SAT 78229 A Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 4:00pm at Northeast Bible Church, 19185 FM 2252, Garden Ridge, Texas 78266. Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10:00am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., SAT 78209, Pavilion 1. A reception will be held after the graveside service at Scenic Hills Clubhouse, 4820 Scenic Dr., Schertz, 78108 from 12-3. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
