Tributes

Our beloved mother and Mimi, Sandra Kathryn Lozano, born June 29, 1943 entered into the loving arms of our precious Lord on November 30, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Rosie Selle, her in-laws Salvador and Aurora Lozano and her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert Lozano. She is survived by her children Mark Lozano and Fiance, Priscilla Lopez and daughter Alle, Monica and Doug Ulbricht and Marla and Mike Lackey; 8 grandchildren- Jacob, Joshua, Hannah and Jonah Ulbricht; Natalie, Nathan, Samuel and Daniel Lackey; Sisters- Pat Radick, B.J. Albert Ersch; Rosemary Bailey and Brother-in-law Richard Janet Lozano and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Sandra was a loyal employee of Harlandale ISD and served as school secretary at Bellaire Elementary School for many years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for a number of years serving on numerous committees. She later became an active & committed member of Mission San Jose and served as a director of ACTS, RCIA Director and initiated their Adoration Ministry. Sandra was a devout faithful Catholic and she brought many people to the Faith through her example and her dedication to Mission San Jose's RCIA Program. She always gave unselfishly of herself and lovingly embraced not only her many service at Mission San Jose but the countless friendships she made there. Her proudest and most cherished moments were those tenderly spent as "Mimi" to her eight precious gifts from God - her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Tolcher, Dr. Christopher Bogaev and their wonderful staff for their compassionate care; Odyssy Hospice for their valued support and Rosie, Mari, and Connie for their loving and nurturing care that enabled Mom to comfortably stay in her own home. Lastly, we SINCERLY thank everyone who faithfully prayed for our Mom. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Thrive Well Cancer Foundations Research Department in Sandra's name. Services Visitation will begin on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower with a procession from the funeral home.
