On Monday, June 29th, 2026, Sandra Ann Rios was called by the Lord to enter His Kingdom. She was born on November 21, 1961, to her parents, Beatrice and Richard Rios. Sandra was survived by her pride and joy, her son Aaron Rios, her mother, Beatrice Rios, her brother Richard Rios Jr. (Rita Rios), and her nephews and niece: Rian, Rachel, Andrew, and their soon-to-be-born son. She is reuniting with her loving father and her adored dog Mac in the heavens. Sandra devoted her career to CPS Energy as a dispatcher for over 30 years. She was a former student of Holy Name Catholic School, part of the St. Gerard’s class of 1980, and a lifelong parishioner of Holy Name Catholic Church. Vowing to serve the community she loved, Sandra became an emblem of the Holy Name Food Pantry, one that her father founded and led. Sandra was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan, a passion and love that she passed on to her son. She always made those around her feel loved by spending time with them, whether by attending the San Antonio Christmas Showcase with her high school friends each year or by watching Sunday Night Football with her family each week. If warmth and welcomeness were a form of currency, Sandra would have been rich beyond measure. She opened the doors to her home to many and made sure they all felt at home. From the smell of her freshly baked cookies to the taste of her famous potatoes, Sandra made sure there was always enough food at the dinner table to feed every single person who accompanied her, whether that was one person or twenty. The amount of love that surrounded Sandra cannot be counted with just numbers; it is counted by the impact she left on many people. She will be missed very dearly, but her light and spirit will be remembered forever. She lives in every tune sung by the morning birds, in every sunset that crosses the horizon, in every star that fills the night sky, and in her legacy, which will live through all those who loved and respected her.
