Sergio Ruben Garza joined the Lord peacefully on November 15, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family. Sergio was born on April 22, 1943, in Agujita, Coahuila, to Gilberto and Isaura Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Ruben and daughter Graciela. Sergio’s surviving family includes his beloved wife Maria Elena Garza, daughter Leticia, sons Sergio, Joe, Felipe, and David, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren and other family members and friends. Sergio worked for the City Public Service as a pipe insulator for different power plants around the city of San Antonio for 31 years. He was a hard worker, true to his craft and retired in April 2003. Sergio will be remembered by his family for being one of the most genuine, caring, forgiving, and selfless person you could have ever met. He was a devoted husband, father/stepfather, grandfather, and proud great grandfather. His bond with all his loved ones was filled with laughter and an abundance of unconditional love and he supported his family without fail. Sergio's smile was contagious, and easily made friends wherever he went. Sergio will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with a rosary and funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
