Sharon Ann Gold, age 51, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2015, after a six-year journey of hope and faith in her battle with breast cancer. Sharon's positive attitude from the start of her diagnosis was a testament to her strength and inward joy and peace. Born December 6, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas, Sharon dedicated her life to her family, her friendships, and her career. Her role as a mother was always her first priority. Her daughters were her heart and soul, and there wasn't a person she met who didn't know how proud she was of her girls. She spent twenty-eight years working as a courier for Fed-Ex, and was lovingly known as "The Fed-Ex Lady" by so many on her route in and around the Boerne, TX area. Her customers and coworkers enjoyed her warm spirit, commitment to excellence, and her willingness to go above and beyond her call of duty. Sharon is survived by her loving partner Cindy Vanbebber; her truly amazing children: daughter Kyndal Coleman and fiancé Christopher Singleton, and daughter Kaitlyn Coleman; her parents, Wilfred and Ginger Gold; siblings, Debbie Gold Jack, Steve Gold Karen, Eileen Riordan, Janet Verstegen Eddie, James Gold Doris; Aunt Mary Beam Mike; a host of extended family and her FedEx family. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents: Dora and Marvin Gold, Ruby Roberts, and Herbert Simmons; brother Kenneth Gold; brothers-in-law Randy Emmert and John Riordan; and niece Emily Riordan. Sharon was a selfless, compassionate, hardworking, and joyful woman who loved life to the fullest. She was a friend to everyone that crossed her path. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. This will be a come and go gathering open to all family, friends, and colleagues. A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 9 a.m. This is a service open to all family, friends, and colleagues where we will celebrate and remember the life of Sharon together.
