Sophie Lejsal Trojcak passed away peacefully and quietly in their home with her Husband Frank by her side. She had a very short illness and elected to return home for her final days and passed early in the morning of November 21, 2015. She was the ninth child of ten of the Vincene Jim Lejsal and Janie Tomecka Lejsal in El Maton, Texas. All are deceased except an older sister Janie Lejsal Beyer of Midfields, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves her Husband Frank W. Trojcak of 63 years, their three children, Lyndel Trojcak, Karen Eckert, and Frank Trojcak. Three grandchildren, Jennifer Eckert Navarro, Nathan Eckert and Adam Trojcak. Two great-grandchildren, Khloe and Maddison Navarro. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in El Campo, Texas and Hope Lutheran Church in San Antonio. She had a very exciting and wonderful life along with her Husband enjoying their numerous movements while he was in the service of our country. Their travels included many Military and Civilian assignments over the 50 years Frank served in the Army, USAF, Texas Air National Guard and Special Civilian Government Contracts. She was a non-working housewife devoted to her Husband, Children, Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren while maintaining numerous households. She loved Sierra Vista Arizona and lived several years in Chandler and Sierra Vista, Arizona with her Husband. They managed to raise cattle on their large ranch in Matagorda County and often assisted in its maintenance and cattle working operations. Sophie took close interest and work on their new home in the Leon Springs area and upon completion built and maintained numerous flower beds, fruit trees and upkeep of the extensive yard with her Husband both doing all the maintenance while Frank was away on special assignments. She especially loved to work with her flowers and diligently protected them from the area's extensive deer and fire ant population. She prided the fact that their yard was virtually eliminated of Fire Ants. Neighbors often prided in the beauty of the yard she and Frank always maintained themselves to perfection. She loved to walk 40 – 50 minutes every day up and down the subdivisions up and down streets around their home keeping herself physically fit well into the advanced age she attained within two weeks of her passing. She was an outstanding cook and often cooked for family gatherings. She loved making candy and other goodies for themselves, the family and friends. She had a knack at making the best Jelly from the berry bushes and peach trees they had. In winter she would sit and watch TV at night and crack pecans to be used in her excellent pecan pies and other delicacies she baked. The Spurs and Cowboys were her favorite teams and rarely missed their games even watching them in the Hospital and at home almost right to her passing day. She loved everybody, had an excellent personality and never had a harsh or bad word about anyone. Everyone who came in contact with her knew they were with a very special person and conversation was easy. Viewing will be Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on 3401 Cherry Ridge Dr. San Antonio, TX., from 3 – 7 P.M. with Services at 1:30 P.M on November 30, 2015 at the Hope Lutheran Church 5714 Callahan Road – San Antonio, Texas. Pastor Bill Swantner will present the service. Interment will be in the Mission Burial Park North Chapel where the family and friends will say their farewells. Interment will follow in the Chapel/Mausoleum. Flowers are welcome and donations to any charity of choice are also welcome.
