Stella Ramirez, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 21st, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born November 20th, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas to Onofre and Elvia Musquiz. Stella is survived by her daughter, Liz Valles from Boulder, Colorado, son, Arturo Valles Jr. from Shreveport, Louisiana and her brother Robert Musquiz of San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Aristo Ramirez, her parents and her siblings, Camilo Musquiz and Della Guajardo. Originally born and raised in San Antonio, Stella left Texas to raise a family with her first husband, Arturo Valles in Monterey, CA. in 1960. The couple divorced in 1978. She returned to San Antonio in the early 80’s where she met and married the love of her life, Aristo Ramirez. She loved arts and crafts and was a very good seamstress, often making matching outfits for her and her daughter when she was young. She was very active with the church and was a member of the church choir. She was an avid volunteer and member of United Methodist Women. She loved going to see movies and shopping with her daughter, when she was in town. She loved to dance, and music was a big part of her life. Stella’s life revolved around the church and it’s choir. She lived a life of faith and devotion to her family and church. She moved to The Wurzbach Senior Center in 2018 and was a resident at Wurzbach at the time of her death. Stella will be remembered for her beautiful smile and outgoing personality. Visitation will be at Simplicity Funeral Home located at 211 Brooklyn Ave. San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday November 15th 2022 from 4:00-8:00PM Church Service will be held at La Trinidad United Methodist Church located at 300 San Fernando St, San Antonio, TX on Wednesday November 16th, 2022, from 11:00-12:00PM Funeral Services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX on Wednesday November 16th, 2022 at 1:00 PM Sharp Immediately following the burial, family and friends are invited back to La Trinidad United Methodist Church for a meal and a celebration of her life. Her family would like to give a special thank you to her wonderful and loving caregivers: Jill Piazzi, the entire staff from Wurzbach Senior Center and Vitas Hospice.
