Steven Michael Estrada, born on November 2, 1954, to Fred and Hortense Estrada, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the age of 68. Steve graduated from Lanier High School in 1973. He worked at Judson’s Candies for 10 years and then began his career at Konica Business Machines where he retired after 31 years. At the age of 20, Steve met the love of his life, the woman that he adored more than anything, Laura when she was 16. They were married in 1979, had three sons and were blessed to be married for 44 years. He loved to sing, dance, watch football and basketball, and cook. Anyone who spent the night was fortunate enough to wake up to the aroma of his delicious breakfast. He adored his children and grandchildren and loved and cared for all of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He was so proud of all of them, and they brought him so much joy in everything they did. At a young age, Steve became a dedicated follower of God and knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He quickly became a friend to anyone who crossed his path and enjoyed sharing God’s word. His love, hugs, and prayers brought comfort and encouragement to so many. Steve’s love for God was evident throughout his life and he worshiped the Lord until his last breath. He was truly a faithful humble servant. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hortense Estrada and siblings Rosie Valdez (Ruben Valdez) and Ernie Estrada (Maria Estrada), father and mother in-law, Raul and Gloria Salas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Laura Jean Estrada; sons Steven Estrada, Jr. (Valerie Estrada), Brian Estrada (Julie Estrada) and Kevin Estrada (Jessica Estrada); grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Natalie, Aiden, Austin, Aubrey, Rene, Julian, Kalie, Kyle and Levi; siblings Sylvia Fonseca (Fernando Fonseca) and Diane Palacio (Bruno Palacio); sisters-in-law Linda Velasquez (Manuel Velasquez), Lorraine Martinez (Ralph Martinez), Lisa Bell (Randy Cave), numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, and fur babies Shelby and Ginobili. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
