Sybil Jean Traugott April 28, 1930 – October 22, 2016 Sybil Jean Traugott, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 22, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Sybil was the only child of George and Jeanette Harris, she was born in Houston, Texas on April 28, 1930. She spent her youth in Jackson, Mississippi, where she attended her beloved St. Joseph’s Elementary school. Later the family moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where Sybil graduated from Miss Mussenden’s School for Young Ladies – she then attended Memphis Art Academy, graduating with honors. Following the education, Sybil spent two years at Ward-Belmont Preparatory for Young Ladies – Sybil spoke often of her trips to the Kentucky Derby which the school sponsored. Sybil is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tyler Traugott, married on November, 17, 1973. Also survived by her son Michael L. Hall and wife Barbara, grandchildren: Lindy, Christopher (wife Melanie), and Jennifer (husband Carl). Sybil was also blessed and had sparkling love for her great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Reagan, Myer, Miles, Carl Sutton, and Mazie. Sybil’s family was truly the light of her life. Sybil also loved her wonderful care giver, Sarah Sommerville. Sybil was a member of Colonial Hills United Methodist Church. She and husband Tyler spent many happy years as members of The San Antonio Knife and Fork Club. Sybil was employed for a number of years at Southwest Research Institute. Sybil’s home in San Antonio is decorated with many of her beautiful paintings which she painted throughout her entire life. Her family will treasure them. Please remember Sybil, especially for her gracious heart, her contagious laughter, and her loyalty to family and friends. We love you, MIMI! Visitation will be held Friday October 28, 2016 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM, at Mission Park South.
