Our beloved mother, wife, sister and friend, Theresa Ozuna Terrell (72), passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe W. and Rosenda V. Ozuna; her-in-laws, Arthur Jacob Coy Terrell, Brigida Reyes Mayfield; her husband, Arthur P Terrell Jr; her sister, Mary Ozuna; her brother-in-laws, R.C. Thor, Ward Terry and Joe Gutierrez. She is survived by her children: Michelle and Kenneth Terrell; her siblings: Joseph Ozuna (Lillian), Margaret O. Spriesterbach,(Spencer), RoseAnne Ozuna, Gary Ozuna, sister-in-law Suzie T. Terry, brother-in-laws Daniel Guajardo (Sally), George R. Terrell (Beebe) along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Theresa was born on October 10, 1949 and was a descendant of the Original Canary Islander Settlers of San Antonio. She was a proud alum of Providence High School graduating class of 1968. One of her first jobs was working for Sears as a seamstress in the sewing department. She had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Henry Catholic Church on August 11, 1973 to the love of her life. She was co PTA president alongside her husband at Royalgate Elementary, Alan B. Shepard Middle School and at South San West Campus High School. Theresa was a very active band and athletic booster club member when her children were in those various activities. She loved substitute teaching for the South San ISD while studying for her Bachelors of Arts at Our Lady Of the Lake University and became a proud alumni after graduating in 1993. She retired in the 2019 from the City of San Antonio Public Library after 24 years as a librarian assistant at the iconic Central Library downtown. Theresa was a Lady of a Third Degree Knights of Columbus member of Council 4140, a Guadalupana’s member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and an associate member of the Conservation Society. Theresa would always place her family first and through her Catholic faith brought us all together which provided deep respect and honor throughout our lives ~ She will be loved and deeply missed by everyone. Funeral services will be VISITATION~ Tuesday July 19th at Mission Alamo on 624 N Alamo for visit at 4:00 pm-8:00pm with the ROSARY at 6:00 pm and MASS OF THE RESURRECTION~ July 20th at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11:00 am with Graveside Service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery to follow at 1:00pm In lieu of flowers donations may be made to on her behalf to American Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Foundation or San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind and Lower Vision
