Tomas H. Morales went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2020, at the age of 73. He was born on January 5, 1947 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Ascencion Morales; brothers, Joe Morales, Juan Morales, Jr., and Angel Morales; sisters, Alma Sanchez and Oralia Bruton. Tomas is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elvira S. Morales; children, Thomas Morales, Sandra Carnavale (Antonio), Laura Muth (Mark), Liza Morales (Arturo) and Gregory Morales (Valerie); 2 sisters, Rosie Gill and Dolores Morales; brother, Anotonio Morales; 18 grandchildren, Felicia, Justin, Tommy, Xavier, Antonio, Brandon, Gabriel, Robert, Ryan, Arthur, Joshua, Destiny, Emerald, Jaidenn, Trey, Dalanie, Joe and Albert; 16 great-grandchildren, Arturo, Alizae, Luis Natalia, Andrew, Legend, Tommy, Nathaniel, Nailee, Melanie, Brandon and Arthur, and numerous other extended family members, nieces and nephews. Tomas was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived in the South Side part of town off Flores St and Mitchell. On October 26, 1968 he married Elvira Soto, they raised two sons, Thomas and Gregory and three daughters, Sandra, Laura, and Liza. He started his career working at Kelly Air Force Base as a Service Station Attended in 1965 at the age of 19, shortly then he transferred to Automotive Technician department where he excelled as Lead Maintenance Technician. Tomas continued his career in AAFES as an Electrician at Lackland Air Force Base and transferred in 1995 to Ft Sam Houston were he retired at 36 1/2 years of service as Senior Electrician. Tomas received multiple achievements/awards during his career: Proficiency Awards, Service Awards, Excellence Outstanding Performance Awards. Tomas had many hobbies and interests, he enjoyed fishing, and camping with his family at Corpus Christi, TX. He liked listening to oldies, jazz, and country music. He had a passion for classic cars and trucks. His favorite movie shows were from John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Western Cowboy movies. Not only did he appreciate the outdoors but he also took interest on his APPS from his IPHONE. He would spend hours on Offer-UP placing bids but then catch him laughing at TIK TOK videos. Tomas also enjoyed spending time with his wife at the Casinos in Las Vegas, Kickapoo, Windstar, Coushatta, and Chataeu. Tomas enjoyed taking his wife Elvira to breakfast every morning before leaving her at work and always was early to pick her up at the same parking spot. He was well known from all the Staff and liked by the residents at the facility. We would all like to thank God for giving us our Father Tomas H Morales for being there every day with love and guidance. Tomas was a role model to his children to grandchildren, with encouragement to never settle for less and to strive for the best. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Interment to follow at First Memorial Park.
