Toni Gaile Bright Cody passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 12, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 27, 1956 in El Paso, Texas to Richard Eugene Bright and Mary Edith Kennedy. Toni, along with her twin brother Rick, grew up in Ohio before eventually making San Antonio her home and raising a family. Toni is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, William (Bill) Cody; her daughter, Michelle, and granddaughter, Lauren; her son, Ryan, and daughter in law, Sarah, and their daughters, Katelyn and Hailey. She is also survived by her twin brother, Rick, his wife, Melanie, and their daughter, Megan, who now has a family of her own, along with many beloved extended family members. Toni was a devoted and loving wife, whose partnership with Bill was marked by deep affection, faith, and unwavering support. A proud daughter of God, she found strength and joy in her church community. She celebrated the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, cheering them on with genuine pride and a smile that could light up any room. Toni loved tending her garden, nurturing each plant with the same care she gave to the people in her life. She cherished time spent with family and friends, especially days filled with games, conversation, and laughter. Her warmth, her faith, and her joyful spirit will be remembered always. SERVICES The family welcomes all who knew and loved her. To reflect the beauty and joy she carried with her everywhere, from her radiant smile to her impeccable makeup and nails, the family encourages attendees to wear bright, cheerful colors. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00am at Kingdom River Center Church, 7995 Heuermann, San Antonio, Texas 78256 followed by a celebration of life at Ryan’s home, 28823 Balcones Creek, Boerne, TX, 78006. A Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:30am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
