It is with extreme sadness and heartache we announce the passing of Vic King. Our Vic left this world on December 9, 2021 age 71 from heart disease. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, friend, pet lover and humanitarian. Vic was born in Los Angeles California January 5, 1950. He is preceded in death by mother, Margaret Burdine Gaspar, father Lynn Anthony Johnson, brothers to Include Chris King, Tony King and Gary Gaspar. He is survived by love of his life and wife Debbie, daughter Courtney King and son Brandon King. Also to Include brother Steve King, numerous nieces and nephews, and special thanks and memories to include the dear Cole family, Lonnie Sr, Geri, Lonnie Jr and Aubri of Spring, Texas Early fond memories include outings with his family, snow skiing at Mammoth, surfing at California beaches, driving his woody, sailing at Catalina island with his brother Steve on their sailboat “Sea Gypsy” and hanging out with long time friends George “Georgie” Voisin and Steve Stanley. Education included Page Military and Montclair Preparatory in California. Accomplishments to include working at several elite limousine services at age 18 in which he serviced Led Zeppelin, the Pat Boone family, Groucho Marx, Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Farrah Fawcett, Lee Majors and Elvis Presley whom he eventually worked for privately. He shared many wonderful tales. Fortunately he sought opportunity in Texas when he relocated to San Antonio, met and married Debbie Kline. They left San Antonio to start life in Houston in Houston, Texas in 1977 and were encouraged by Debbie’s father, Bob Kline. Houston, Texas is where Vic became involved with the buying and selling of exotic and classic cars on Richmond Ave and River Oaks where he established his businesses. He was a charismatic, motivated individual and was always interested in new ventures which included buying and selling oilfield equipment starting his own company named Reata Energy which expanded offices to also include Odessa and Denver, Vic’s foremost interest was research and development ( R & D) which included medical working with Dr Charles Douglas which included auricular laser therapy. He then accomplished what he was most proud and recognized for, a candling system for emu eggs. His total merit was recognized by LSU Avian division and his work and candling invention was noted and praised with recognition in their college textbooks. Last but not least he founded Aquality Valet Parking Services with long time friend Gene White serving Houston and Dallas areas. During all the business adventures and becoming self made entrepreneur Vic always found special time for his family and pets which included for short time, a tiger named Sasha. He was a fabulous cook and sure made a mean breakfast. Vic was a man of many words, yes, many many words and anyone who got to know him learned very quick. He was consumed with knowledge and watching documentaries and loved to share any new interesting findings. He was a man of honor and truth and lived by this golden rule. Did we mention he could fix just about anything from car engine to washing machine to transistor radio? A genius with tools large or small and his math skills were beyond perfect. Vic’s brightest light was bragging about his family and being a jokester. He lived by the rule it takes more muscles to frown than smile. Yes, we will surely miss that radiant smile, his jokes and his perpetual motto “ I do good when I do bad” We, his family, still feel his presence from the other side watching over us and until we meet again he will forever leave footprints and remain in our hearts. Services are Friday January 7, 2022 at Mission Park South Chapel 1700 SE Military Dr San Antonio, Texas Viewing 12-2 Service and Celebration of life 2 pm Interment following service at Mission Park South Cemetery
