W E S S E L Y Warren Mark Wessely, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and genuine friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2008 at the age of 87. Warren was born on May 1, 1921 in San Antonio, TX. He was an extremely patriotic man who didn't hesitate to enlist in the Navy upon learning the news of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He served proudly on the battleship USS Pennsylvania for 4 years. He married the love of his life, Margaret Louise Douglas in San Francisco, CA on January 20, 1943 and gives tribute to her for the happiness and joy he felt during nearly 66 years of marriage. He was a very loving and devoted father to his two daughters. They honor and thank him and their mother for the Christian values that guide their lives today. He was founder and owner of Wessely-Wagner Hardware, Inc., a builder's hardware company. One of the happiest times in his life was when he became a grandfather with the birth of his two granddaughters. The blessing of grandchildren continued with the birth of his four wonderful great grandchildren. The true essence and heart of Warren came from the love of his God. He was a faithful servant and active deacon at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He never hesitated to reach out to others in need and share his personal story of the importance of having Christ and God in one's life. He was a man who never met a stranger. He visited and provided comfort to the sick. He was an optimist to the fullest, a believer in fervent prayer, a teacher and someone who listened from the heart. Warren loved his Lord. Warren has now entered His kingdom with the joy and happiness of eternal life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Edna Wessely. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise, daughters Nancy Walker and her husband George and Judith Wessely; granddaughters Debra Emery and husband Paul, Christine Erickson and husband Eric; great grandchildren Lindsey, Carson, Elaina and Zac; and sister Dorothy Trimmier. SERVICES Church services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 10915 Vance Jackson Road, with Reverend Bill Shockley officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North.
