Yvonne Carrizales was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 28, 1968, and went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2025, at the age of 56. Yvonne loved her family. After her mother passed she lived in Spring, Texas. Yvonne decided she wanted to live independently with other adults with intellectual disabilities like herself. She then entered the Reach Unlimited Program and was accepted to live in a group home with two roommates with intellectual disabilities but were considered highly functioning. Yvonne was accepted into the work program and worked at The Texas Roadhouse in Tomball, Texas for a while. Yvonne and her roommates enjoyed many activities together. She learned stain glass, gardening, and loved country music. Her favorite country singer was Keith Urban, so she was ecstatically happy when she found our her niece Jennifer and Ray her husband had invited all of us to go to the San Antonio Rodeo in 2023 to see Keith Urban in concert. Yvonne loved the color pink, sunflowers, white lilies, and eating out. She enjoyed family and life to it’s fullest no matter how bad she was feeling. She was a pillar of strength, perseverance, and joy to everyone she knew. What a beautiful and blessed life Yvonne had. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Rodolfo A. Carrizales and Ruth M. Carrizales. Survivors include her loving siblings Rudolfo “Rudy” Carrizales, Jr. and his wife Mary Lou, Thomas Carrizales and his wife Joan, Belinda C. De Leon and her husband Octavio de Leon and Nelda Carrizales, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Wednesday - February 19th, 2025, from 9:30 am – 10:30am. with a Rosary to begin at 10:30am followed by a 11am Funeral Mass all Celebrated at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. 907 W Theo Ave, San Antonio, TX 78225 Interment Burial will be at 9am on Thursday - Feb . 19th at; Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209 (These will be no Funeral Procession, be advised to be at Fort Sam Houston entrance 15 minutes early to be directed to grave site.)
