    Betty Louise Stocks

    November 17, 1932 - May 8, 2022

    A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty Louise Stocks went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2022, at the age of 89, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on November 17, 1932 in Blanco, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Arendt and Ed Cole and Leona Digges; children, Steven Wayne Stocks and Cheryl Ann Vestal; sister, Joyce Jenschke, brother-in-law Clinton Jenschke and brother, Norman “Skippy” Digges. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Eddie C. Stocks; brother Eddie C. Digges, Jr.(Pauline), sister-in-law, Linda Wolfe; son-in-law Leonard Vestal; daughter-in-law, Tamlyn Stocks; grandchildren, Carin E. Kopecki (Garrett), James R. Leasman, Brett R. Leasman (Ana), Ben Notgrass, Jennifer Digges, Scott Thomas, Bryan Roebuck, Jason Thomas, Staci Wingo (Tyler), Lana Vestal; great-grandchildren, Raley Kopecki, Brax Leasman, Katy Curry, Jillian Leasman, Ryan Leasman, Adeline Gregg and Trent Wingo; Best friend Sandy Fikes along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. Betty loved to water ski and enjoyed many fun times on area lakes. Betty adored her children, Steve & Cheryl. She led Cheryl’s Girl Scout Troop and went on many Alamo Trail Rides with Eddie & Steve as members of Alamo Trail Riders. She loved to travel and enjoyed many wonderful trips with Eddie, Joyce & Clinton. Betty loved to dance. Eddie & Betty would dance the evening away at Martinez Hall whenever they had the chance. Her amazing hugs and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 starting at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
