Genevieve Partida Gonzales

February 23, 1947 - March 10, 2022

Genevieve Partida Gonzales joined her Lord on March 10, 2022 in Katy, Texas. She was born on February 23, 1947 in San Antonio, to Marcos G. Partida and Juanita Riojas. Mrs. Gonzales grew up in a happy home filled with love and laughter. She graduated from Incarnate Word High School and the University of the Incarnate Word. Her career was spent as a Medical Records Administrator for the Memorial Hermann Hospital System in Houston. Later in life she retired and became a dedicated and loving homemaker. She was a fabulous cook and shared and swapped recipes with others. Mrs. Gonzales was a social butterfly with many friends and loved to play Bunco and Mahjong. She was the Matriarch of the Partida family and very protective of her family, sisters, Sandra and Norma and brothers, Anthony and Mark; and sister-in-law, Belinda. She loved family and planned yearly “sisters only” fun weekends. She loved gardening and birds and was the President of the Katy Garden Club for six years and an active officer of the Houston Garden Club for four years. Her husband Philip was a loving, devoted and caring husband. October of this year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. She loved her nieces, nephews (Lauren, Erica, Matthew, Tony Jr. and their spouses and children) and dear cousins. She was nicknamed Tia Mama. She loved our Lord with all her heart and held women’s Bible study in her home. Mrs. Gonzales died a sudden and unexpected death with her husband by her side. She had many close, dear friends that she loved and considered like family. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH-10 West, San Antonio, Texas 78257.
