Ignacio L. Huerta

Ignacio L. Huerta was born February 1, 1928 at the age of 94, was called to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2022 from his home in San Antonio Tx. Ignacio was born to the late Marcial Huerta and Sabina Lopez Huerta, preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, living brother Santos L. Huerta and spouse Isabelle, sister Rita Huerta Revilla, and is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Zulema Ramos Huerta. Loving father of five children Gloria Huerta Espinosa and spouse Edward, Eugene R. Huerta and spouse Leticia, Odilia Huerta Martinez, Ricardo R. Huerta and spouse Lucy, Estevan Ignacio Huerta and spouse Alice. Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ignacio was an Army World War II Veteran and worked for Swift as a butcher for 25 years and attended Lanier High School. Ignacio was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He took such pride in taking care of his home and yard. He was a faithful servant of God. Every morning before breakfast he would read his bible and prayed for everyone. He enjoyed dancing and singing to his wife. He loved to Bar- be-que for any occasion. He loved his Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. He will be deeply missed by everyone.
