Joe Mora went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2022 at the age of 90. Joe was born on May 11, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to mother Stella Cardenas and dad Elario Mora. He is reunited with; his loving wife of 51 years Julia Mora, mother Stella, father Elario, sister Hortencia, brother George, brother-in-law Joe Gonzalez, stepson’s Joseph Rodriguez & Leonard Rodriguez, and stepdaughter Carolyn Diaz. He is survived by; his stepdaughters Patricia Huebenthal (Mike) & Linda Garza (Frank), son-in-law Andy Diaz, daughter-in-law Theresa Rodriguez, sister-in-law Annie Mora. He is also, survived by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Joe Mora served his country by enlisting in the United States Airforce from 1952-1956. He joined the Air National Guard from 1964-1970 and retired working as a Civil Servant at the Kelly Air Force Base. Joe was a good provider, husband, family man, and was always willing to help. He took pride in having a nice yard and growing flowers with Julia. He loved spending his time with Julia, JoJo, and family. He would watch the Dallas Cowboys & Spurs games with JoJo and took Julia & JoJo wherever they needed to go, usually the mall. When JoJo got sick and went to the nursing home, he would drive Julia to be with JoJo every day. He will be missed by his family & friends, but we know Julia and JoJo need to be with him. They’ve been waiting anxiously for him. Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
