Mary Lorraine Meerscheidt
February 20, 1943 - February 28, 2022
Mary Lorraine Meerscheidt February 20, 1943 – February 28, 2022 Mary was first and foremost a faithful and devoted Christian. She knew her Bible cover to cover. She spoke beautiful and heartfelt prayers and lifted us all with her witness of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Mary took delight in children. She frequently assisted in preschool Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She provided a loving “day care” for family toddlers and served as a role model as they grew. Her love extended to a procession of cats who returned her affection with companionship and joy. She was frequently to be seen adorned in colorful and whimsical kitty t-shirts. Mary was well known for her “list”. Each person she met was a friend and deserving to be remembered on their birthday and at the holidays. She responded to everyone with positivity and warmth. Her heart overflowed with love. Memories of Mary will be cherished by family, friends and all those who had the opportunity to experience her loving spirit. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Cherokee Home for Children or a charity of your choosing. Mary is predeceased by her parents Leo Paul Meerscheidt Jr. and Sara McGehee Meerscheidt, her infant sister Sara Jolly Meerscheidt, her brother Leo Meerscheidt III, her nephew Troy Meerscheidt, and her niece Heidi McFarland.
