Opal “Pal” Marshall Opal “Pal” Marshall passed away peaceful on March 25, 2022, at Westover Hills Memory Care. She was born on October 23, 1937, in Whistler, Alabama to Andrew and Ettie Mclendon. Pal is proceeded in death by her parents, and her sister Leslie Wiggins. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Harold Marshall; her sister Betty Kenny, her bother Bob McLendon, sons; Joseph Marshall (Michelle) and Jeffery Marshall (DeAnn), her grandsons; Matthew Marshall (Andrea) and Jason Marshall (Laura), and her granddaughters; Alissa Marshall, Madisyn Marshall and Jenna Marshall, step granddaughter, Payton Fox (Daniel), great grandsons; Logan Marshall and Conner Marshall and great granddaughter Holly Marshall, and her step great grandsons; Coulson Fox and Sandler Fox and her brother law Jim Marshall (Denise), and her daughter in laws; Nancy Marshall and Densie Marshall and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pal was employed by the Southwest Research Institute on March 3, 1975. She served the Southwest Research Institute for 25 years and retired as a manager in Payroll on October 9, 1998 and continued to serve SWRI as a Technical Advisor through December 3, 1999. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. (Central) on Wednesday, March 30, at Mission Park – Cherry Ridge, 3401 Cherry Ridge San Antonio, Texas 78230. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. (Central) on Thursday, March 31, at Trinity Baptist Church, 319 E. Mulberry Avenue San Antonio, Texas 78212. Interment will follow later in Mobile, Alabama. In lieu flowers please donate to Trinity Baptist Church Food Pantry, The Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
