Betty L. Field October 14, 1939 – October 31, 2025 Betty Lou Sparks Field was born October 14, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert Charles and Marion Vitilla Clark Sparks. She passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 86. Betty enjoyed Office Management work, Bowling, volunteering and traveling. She was honored to be a military wife, and above all, it was her family that brought her immense pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Col. Richard William Field, US Army (Ret) on July 26, 2016; her brother, Allen Sparks; and granddaughter, Heidi Field. Survivors include her two sons: Michael W. Field and wife Christine M. Field, and Dennis C. Field and Charlotte Swanson; two daughters: Kathleen M. Hinders, and Patricia L. Trim; brother, Les W. Sparks; sisters-in-law Susan Ludwig Sparks and Jo Ann Sparks; daughter in law, Judy Field Sullivan and husband Frank; 9 grandchildren: Christine Levario, Larry Levario, Samantha Field, Mike Conely, T.J. Maddox, Victoria Maddox, Samantha Solomon, Charles Hinders, Meredith Hinders, Ryan Field, Jason Ajwani, Ashley Hinders-Gumm, Jarred Gumm, Matthew Trim and Garrett Trim; Great Grandchildren: Heidi Levario, Cadence Levario, Larry Levario, Emery Solomon, and soon to be Baby Hinders. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025, beginning at 5:00PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 2:15PM that same day at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Mike Field, Dennis Field, Charles Hinders, Matt Trim, Garrett Trim, Les Sparks, Larry Levario; and Honorary Pallbearers Jarred Gumm, Jason Ajwani, Mike Conely In lieu of Funeral Arrangement flowers, attendees at the church service are invited to bring “Supermarket Flowers”.
