Eliseo D. Rodriguez, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 15, 1941, in Shiawassee, Michigan, and grew up on the West Side of San Antonio—a place he carried in his heart with deep pride. His upbringing, his family, and his work shaped him into the strong, humble, hardworking man so many knew and loved. Eliseo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lydia B. Rodriguez, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, family, and devotion. He is survived by his children: Eliseo B. Rodriguez; Omar Rodriguez and his wife, Annette Rodriguez; and Sarah Martinez and her husband, David Martinez. Eliseo was a deeply proud grandfather to Kendra Marie Rodriguez, Andres Rodriguez, David Martinez III, Nicholas (Nicky) Martinez, and Elisea Lydia Rodriguez—all of whom brought him immense joy! He loved his grandchildren dearly and cherished every moment spent with them. He was also a great brother and tío, with many nieces and nephews who adored him. Eliseo cherished his extended family and valued the bond he shared with each of them. Eliseo will be remembered as a lifelong learner—a man with endless curiosity about the world and a deep appreciation for knowledge. He carried a remarkable understanding of geography, culture, history, and a world of wisdom in his heart. He was a storyteller. Eliseo could reminisce with anyone because, somehow, there was always a story he had lived, witnessed, or been a part of. Whether he was sharing memories from his youth, moments from the West Side, or one of those stories that had everyone laughing, he had a gift for bringing the past to life and connecting with people through his words. Professionally, Eliseo was an upholstery master, known for his craftsmanship, precision, and lifelong dedication to his work. He poured care into everything he created, and his hands restored countless pieces that will be treasured for years to come. Above all, Eliseo leaves behind a legacy of love, humility, knowledge, and quiet brilliance. He was proud of where he came from, proud of the family he raised, and proud of the life he built. His family will forever remember his gentle spirit, his eagerness to learn, his stories, and the warmth he brought into their lives.
