Elsa Q. Arredondo born in Kingsville, Texas on May 12, 1933; went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2021 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur P. Arredondo and daughter Rosalinda Arredondo, Mother Angelita Cisneros and Father Hijinio (Gene) Quesada, Sisters Pauline and Helen, Brothers Gene and Johnny. Survivors include her loving children Belinda Martinez, Angel Andrade, Arthur H. Arredondo and Adrian Arredondo, sister Margie Cantu, brother Hector Quesada, sister in law Eloisa Quezada, daughters in law Yvette Arredondo, Betty Jo Arredondo, son in law Sam Andrade, Grandchildren: Arthur R. Arredondo (Amy), Amanda M. Arredondo, Stephen C. Barrera (Marisela), Brian A. Barrera (Kelsea), Kailyn R. Arredondo, Jarrett A. Arredondo, Jennifer D. Martinez (Juan), Christopher M. Martinez (Debra), Great grandchildren: Audrey Arredondo, Allie Arredondo, Sean Barrera, Stephen Barrera, Ethan Torres, Jackson P. Barrera, Ernest Perez, Heather Berwanger and Dominic Alcala. My Mom and Dad loved to dance winning many dance contests in their early years. My mom also loved to go fishing with my dad as well during their last years together. She would remind us about her softball playing days during our conversations with her. She also loved her sweets, Vincente Fernandez Music and a good Whataburger with Fries. My Mom loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly attending many of their sporting events to cheer them on, which could clearly be heard when she was in attendance. We also want to say “Thank You” for the loving care given to our Mom from the Golden Age Home Care (Roxana, Tisha and Maxine). We will miss our beautiful mother and May you rest in peace Mom. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III. For everyone’s safety please honor the family by wearing mask. We kindly thank you in advance.
