Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Esteban L. Ruiz Jr., born April 18, 1955, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born in San Antonio(Buena Vista), Texas to Esteban Aguillon Ruiz and Eduvijes Lopez Ruiz, and is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 48 years, Yolanda Villaseñor Ruiz, children, Stephanie(Robert Perez), Jennifer(Fabian Olivarez), Jessica(Jonathan Gonzalez), and Steven Ruiz, grandchildren, Veronica Perez(Louis Canedo), John Perez, Samantha Perez, Leviathan Gonzalez and Leia Gonzalez, sisters, Eusevia Ruiz, Esther(Luz Morales), brother Gilbert(Rosa)Ruiz, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Esteban(Steven) was a very loving and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa who could always put a smile on our faces. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren so much and was always there to help us in any way he could and to give advice. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren. He loved taking small random trips to Eagle Pass with his wife and enjoyed spending time with her at Kickapoo and going to their favorite restaurants and trying different bakeries there. He loved listening to music and enjoyed cooking, being outside and working on his garden, working on wood projects and exercising and working out in his gym. He loved researching his ancestors and finding out where he came from. In doing so he found he had an aunt and was able to meet his three cousins, Debbie, Connie, and Rey and their families and loved spending time with and talking to them on a daily basis. We will especially miss our dad and grandpa and all the stories he would tell us about his childhood and things that happened in his life as well as his laughter and sense of humor. Our mom will miss our dad dearly but we take comfort in knowing that he is in Heaven and no longer in any pain. Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
