In Loving Memory of Homer A. De Jesus With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Homer A. De Jesus, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, beloved brother and friend. Homer departed this world on December 6, 2023, leaving behind a tapestry of beautiful memories and a legacy of kindness that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. Homer is survived by his adoring wife, Fabiola, who brought immeasurable joy and love into his life. Their love story was one of deep connection and shared dreams, and Homer looked forward to building a life together with Fabiola here in San Antonio. His nightly conversations with her were a testament to the enduring love they shared. He is also survived by his beloved children, Serena, Elissa, and Gunner "Baby Bear" were the pride and joy of his life. He also thought of Reyna as his own. Homer's love for his children was boundless, and he found immense happiness in the moments he got to spend with them. Homer's family was his anchor, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth and unity. He is survived by his mother, Maria T. De Jesus, and his five siblings, Julie “Jewels” Gimbel, Sonia Martinez (Diego), Erma De Jesus Curtis (Chad), Brenda de la Rosa "Twin" (Sam), and Jimmy De Jesus "Jimbo" (Sandra). Their bond was unbreakable, and Homer's presence will be sorely missed in the family gatherings they held dear. Tragically, Homer's father, Santiago De Jesus, passed away in November, and we find comfort in the belief that father and son are now reunited in eternal peace. Homer was known for his enormous heart and his unwavering commitment to helping others. His acts of kindness touched the lives of many, and his legacy of compassion will continue to inspire those who knew him. An adventurer at heart, Homer found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was riding his bike through the scenic landscapes he loved or listening to music that resonated with his soul, Homer found joy in the beauty of the world around him. In addition to his immediate family, Homer leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly. His presence brought laughter and love into their lives, and they will carry his memory forward with gratitude and affection. A memorial service to celebrate Homer's life will be held on December 21, 2023, at Mission Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr. 78221. May Homer's soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
