James "Jim" Law passed away on April 5, 2024. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be deeply missed. Jim was a devoted follower of Christ, actively engaging with several churches in South Texas through prayer and mentorship. Born on March 23, 1965, in San Antonio, Texas, Jim's roots remained connected to the city throughout his travels. In 1977, his family moved to South Carolina, where he completed his high school education. Following graduation, Jim joined the Air Force, serving a successful 20-year career and retiring as a Master Sergeant. While serving, he received multiple Commendation Medals and awards for Meritorious Service. His service took him to beautiful locations such as Key West, Monterey, and Spokane, with brief assignments in Panama, England, and the Middle East. In 1993, Jim dedicated himself to Christ, spending his life sharing his beliefs and preaching the Gospel. He enjoyed connecting with people of all ages through Bible studies and fellowship. After retirement, Jim worked in government contracts in San Antonio before discovering his true calling in the mission field. For the last eight years he has worked at To Every Tribe as a Risk Management Coordinator. He assisted missionaries worldwide in settling into new environments, a long time goal he found deeply fulfilling. In his leisure time, Jim enjoyed puzzles, quests, and mysteries of all kinds. He was a passionate fan of Abbott and Costello, The Marx Brothers, and blues guitar. Children adored him as "Mr. Jim," entertained by his playful songs, personalized stories, and inventive games. In 2018, he became “Grandad”, a role he embraced with delight. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Darrell Christopher. He is survived by his daughter Rheannon (Charlie) Harris, brothers Bob (Bea) Law and Tommy (Elaine) Law, brother Stephen Morehouse, sisters, Julie Taylor and Melody Christopher, cherished grandson Ealey James Harris (named in honor of Jim), numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his extended family of brothers and sisters in Christ. The family expresses gratitude to AdventHealth Waterman for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Jim during his final month. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. followed by the Service at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum Chapel located at the rear of Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West. Upon entering the cemetery, please veer to the left and continue to the back of the Cemetery to the street - turn left that will cross the creek; then continue up the hill and follow the sign to turn right and loop around to park. Interment will follow at the Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or To Every Tribe at toeverytribe.org
