Marguerite Estelle Bannowsky Meinhardt, age 95 passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. She was born in Ballinger, TX on August 11,1921. Marguerite is survived by her adoring daughter, Carolyn Frizzell, son-in-law, John Frizzell, five grandchildren, Brian Sumrall, Kelly Frizzell Sneckenberger and her husband, Rob Sneckenberger, Jesse Frizzell and his wife, Sue Vadnais, Jennifer Digges, Terri Bourgeois and two great grandchildren, Christian Digges and Taylor Dombi. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Dell Bannowsky who passed away at the age of 54, her husband, Alvin Meinhardt at the age of 94 and her daughter, Connie Bourgeois who left us much too soon at the age of 73. Marguerite worked several years as a school cafeteria manager and also worked several years at the Yarn Barn selling yarn and supplies while also teaching people the art of needlepoint and knitting. Members of our family are fortunate enough to have some of her work on walls in our homes. But mostly she spent her life loving and nurturing her family. Years, after surviving the death of her loving husband, Dell, she met and eventually married Alvin. They soon were inseparable and spent many years dancing and traveling in their RV. They drove to Alaska, made several trips to Colorado and Branson, Missouri and many other places. They belonged to an RV club where they met and enjoyed making new friends. In January, 2012, they moved to Waterford Independent Care where they made so many more friends. After Al passed away in March of 2012, Marguerite stayed on at Waterford and continued life with her family and friends. One never saw her without that sweet smile on her face. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She seldom could be found in her apartment as she spent most days playing games and enjoying all the activities there. After developing serious heart problems, she spent several weeks in rehab working very hard to regain her strength and return “home”. She returned to Waterford on Tuesday, October 4 enjoying lunch and dinner with her friends again one last time before losing her battle, joining Dell, Alvin and Connie in Heaven. Rest in Peace my sweet mama, my best friend……..Carolyn
