In Loving Memory of Our beautiful mother, Marjorie Lee Sewell, at the blessed age of 90, passed peacefully August 8, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and a family who will forever cherish her. She was born on November 24, 1935, in Jourdanton, Texas. Margie was a devoted wife, a loving but firm mother, proud grandmother, and a woman who lived life on her own terms. She was strong-willed and stubborn in the very best sense of the word, a fierce woman who knew what she believed in and was never afraid to stand her ground. Beneath that strength was a heart that loved intensely and completely. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time with people she loved. She and Sonny shared a special love and enjoyed traveling together in their RV to include motorcycling through the countryside, making memories along the way. They also loved to dance together and go to the nostalgic local country and western dance halls. She was also known for her incredible baking skills for her family famous cookies, cakes and pies which were more than delicious treats; they were made with love and became part of countless family celebrations and treasured memories in her kitchen and dining room table where family gathered. For 20 years, Margie worked for the Northeast School District foodservice, dedicating herself to serving and caring for children in her community well known for homemade rolls that the kids couldn't get enough of! Family was the center of her world, she loved her husband, raised her children with strength and devotion, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She may have been stubborn, outspoken, and fiercely independent, but no one ever doubted how deeply she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years of marriage Irvin L. Sewell; son-in-Law Kenneth Goggio and grandson Sgt. Glenn Sewell. She is survived by her daughters; Marjorie Kay Goggio-Hudson (Carl), Patricia Wiatrek (Marvin); sons Jimmy Sewell (Esther), Mike Sewell (Pat); grandchildren Joshua Sewell, Nancy Goggio, Jennalee Freeman, Katy Goggio, Sean Sewell, Marissa Carlisle and Karli Sewell; great-grandchildren Nadia Sewell, Charlie Freeman, Nevan Sewell, Harrison Carlisle, Isabella Rose Carlisle and Juliet Freeman. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. We find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her loved ones in Heaven and is now at peace in the presence of our Lord.
