Mary Alice Klein of San Antonio, Texas journeyed home to our Lord on November 25, 2025. She entered this world to Francisca and Juan Medrano on August 17, 1943. She graduated from Blessed Sacrament Catholic High School in 1962. She fell in love and married her high school sweetheart, James Klein, on September 15, 1962. They shared 34 years of marriage until his passing on November 8, 1996. She enjoyed a long and meaningful career with the San Antonio Independent School District. She served her community as Director of Religious Education at St. Joseph’s South San Catholic church, coordinating festivals, breakfasts, Catechism classes, assisted Hurricane Katrina victims displaced at Kelly AFB, and many other ways too numerous to list. Her example of devotion to God, family, and service to community will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her four children, James (Cheryl) Klein, Xavier Klein, Monica (Moises) Zuniga, and Jessica (Matias) Pelaez, 10 grandchildren; Joshua (Britt) Klein, Adriane (Frank) Garcia, Jaclyn (Adrian) Bañuelos, Alejandra Klein, Jimmy Klein, Julia K. Zuniga, Madison, Brandon, Andrew, and Samuel Pelaez, 6 great-grandchildren; Joshua and Bonita Klein, Marina, Isabella, and Sebastian Garcia, and Liam Bañuelos, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Klein, parents Francisca and Juan Medrano, brother Mario (Lou) Medrano, and sister Gloria (Fernando) Rocha. Our Mom was lovingly called “Mo” by everyone she met. She enjoyed life to the fullest and lived her life on her terms. She loved attending family events, birthday parties, sporting events, dance and band recitals, and dinners. She was always ready to go shopping and spend time with her family. Her goal was to live independently as long as possible and she did exactly that to the end. We were honored and blessed to have shared so many years and experiences with her. We loved her fiercely. While we know, and understand, that she was called home to be with our Lord, we will miss her wisdom, her beauty, her humor, and her presence. We all love and miss you Mom!
