Noe G. Garcia was called home by his Lord on June 11, 2026, at the age of 93. He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Noe was born in New Gulf, Texas. He was a loving and devout husband to Isabel A. Garcia, with whom he shared an extraordinary 69 years of marriage. Their life together was a beautiful testament to faith, commitment, and enduring love. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years, carrying the values of duty, honor, and service throughout his life. He went to barber school after returning from the service and became a barber in Houston. He was popular with young customers because he was known for cutting the perfect flattop. He then moved to San Antonio to help with the family store (Ben’s Ice House), where he worked for 50 years. Many generational families knew him as “Ben” throughout the years. As a man of God, he loved reading the Bible, especially the Psalms. His life reflected kindness, strength, and quiet devotion. Noe’s faith guided him in all that he did, and lived as an example of compassion, humility, and integrity. He was very generous when family members and friends needed help. Noe will be remembered for his witty humor, his wisdom, and the deep love he had for his family. Noe is lovingly remembered by his children: Noe A. Garcia (Maggie Garcia) and Melinda A. Gonzalez (Michael Gonzalez). He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Amanda Garcia (Chad Yates) and James Garcia, and a devoted great-grandfather to Mason Yates. He is lovingly remembered by his step-grandchildren, Regina Perez and Meagan Nelan, and his step-great-grandsons, Dominic and Jaxen Nelan. Noe is preceded in death by his parents, Benito S. Garcia and Luisa G. Garcia; and by his brothers and sister, Urbano G. Garcia, Ruben G. Garcia, Uvaldo G. Garcia, and Lamar G. Stautzenberger. He is survived by his beloved brothers and sisters, Benito Garcia, Corina Pena, Joel Garcia, Irma Garcia, Frances Arcos, and Luisa Villarreal. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who cherished the time they spent with him and will forever hold dear the memories of his love, guidance, and presence in their lives. Noe leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
