Patricia Stokes Smith, age 75, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She and her beloved husband of 49 years, Allan Ray Smith, owned Alamo Bedding Company for 41 years. Pat devoted her life to her husband, their business, and her family. She enjoyed her home, cooking, and traveling. Pat was preceded in death by her father, William R. Stokes, Sr., her brother, William R. Stokes, Jr., her sister, Elaine MacDonald, her niece, Deborah Thigpen, and numerous cousins. She is survived by her loving husband, Allan Ray Smith; her mother, Una Stokes Miller, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Stokes of Rockport, TX; brother-in-law, John MacDonald of Nashua, NH; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy and Sid Tarro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Louine and Claybourne Smith; six nieces, Paula Spahn, Belinda Owen, Robyn Darnell of Houston, TX, Melissa Hensarling OF Dallas, TX, Larissa Alexander and Leann Stokes of Rockport, TX; great-nieces, Melissa and Lacie Thigpen, Shannon Owen and Claire Hensarling; great-nephews, Keith and Kevin Spahn, Ross Owen, Travis Hensarling and Colin and Connor Alexander; great-great-nieces, Geneva Thigpen Humes and Emily Owen; great-great-nephew, Braden Spahn, along with numerous cousins. Pats family would like to thank the staff at Vitas Hospice for the excellent care provided to her in her last days. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Thursday-May 11, 2006 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be on Friday-May 12, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Mission Burial Park North Mausoleum Chapel, 20900 IH-10 West, San Antonio, TX 78257. Entombment will follow in the Mission Burial Park North Mausoleum.
