Paula Arellano Flores was born on June 7, 1932, in Lori, Texas, to parents Francisco Arellano and Eva Delgado Arellano. Paula peacefully passed away on June 12, 2026, at the age of 94. Paula attended school through the ninth grade. She married at a young age and had three children—two sons and one daughter. After her divorce, she met Luis Flores. Together they welcomed a son in 1963, and later married in 1968. As a migrant worker, Paula traveled to many places in search of work, including Milwaukee, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and San Antonio, Texas. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication to providing for her family. Over the years, Paula held several jobs. She worked at Judson Candy Company in San Antonio and later joined San Antonio Federal Credit Union, where she worked in the mail room. She also served for many years as an administrator at Templo Bautista Getsemaní in Losoya, Texas. In addition to her regular employment, Paula often helped others through housekeeping work, always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed. Throughout her life, Paula demonstrated resilience, determination, and a deep commitment to her family, her faith in God, and her community. Her journey reflects the strength and perseverance that inspired those around her. Paula was a very outgoing person who was never afraid to try anything. She loved her church and was always willing to help wherever she was needed. Paula assisted with Sunday School, sang in the choir, and enjoyed helping organize Vacation Bible School programs. When she wasn't at church, Paula loved to relax and work on puzzles & crocheting Her favorite foods included chicken mole enchiladas from Don Pedro's, chile rellenos, and hamburgers. She also enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family while cheering on football and basketball games. One of Paula's favorite sayings, whenever someone asked what she was doing, was: "I'm chillin', watching TV." It was a simple phrase that perfectly captured her relaxed spirit and sense of contentment. Paula will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her faith in God, her love for family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Paula Arellano Flores was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Luis Gauna Flores; parents, Francisco Arellano and Eva Delgado Arellano; sisters, Adelina A Valdez, Helen A Flores, Frances A Gonzales, and Carmen Arellano; and brothers: Jose Arellano, Pedro Arellano, Manuel Arellano, and Jesse D. Arellano. She is survived by her sons, Pedro Flores (wife, Alicia), Andrew Delgado (significant other Irma), and George Delgado; Daughter Viola Arocha (Husband Henry); 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, & 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Our family would like to give many thanks to Trinity hospice for the love and compassionate care they provided to our loved one, Paula Flores. Services for Paula Arellano Flores will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South on 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, Texas, 78214. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, at 12pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Templo Bautista Getsemani Cemetery in Losoya, Texas.
