Raymond Harris Wills of San Antonio passed away on March 18, 2014, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lowth Wills; children Linda Wills Fleetwood and husband Jim, Cynthia Wills Bryant and husband Mike, and Robert Edward Wills and wife Joany; sister Margie Wills Cook; grandchildren Morgan Fleetwood Penix, Maggie Fleetwood Raveneau, Mandy Fleetwood Campbell, Michael Robert Wills, Mitchell Ray Wills, Marshall Rhett Wills, and Molly Clare Bryant; and great grandchildren Ruth Campbell, Ian Campbell, Rowen Campbell, Ivy Campbell, Lydia Wills, Charlotte Wills, Ocean Penix, Rose Raveneau, David Raveneau, Bryson Wills, and Jarrett Wills. He graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1954. He earned a BA in Physical Education from University of North Texas, MEd at the University of North Texas, and ABD at the University of North Texas. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, lifetime member of TSTA, co-founder of TMSA Texas Middle School Assoc, lifetime member of PTA, member of TASB Texas Assoc of School Boards, member of TASA Texas Assoc of School Administrators, and honorary member of FFA. He was a public school educator, coach, math teacher, principal, and superintendent. He was co-owner of Individually Yours in Kerrville, Texas. His integrity and commitment to education was evident in the many lives he touched throughout his life. As he told his students, "May you face each day with a feeling of responsibility to become an educated individual willing to work for something a little bit bigger than yourself. Just remember, the distance between the possible and the impossible is only the measure of a man's will." He was fond of saying, "Where there's a Wills, there's a way." He walked in these noble steps and inspired others to follow. He loved well. His Memorial Celebration will be on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Grace Point Church, 9750 Huebner Rd, in San Antonio, TX.
