Richard Ybarra was born on October 18,1929 and passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Ybarra. He is survived by his three sons Alfonso Ybarra and wife Eileen, Roger Ybarra and wife Maria, Gilbert Ybarra and wife Patsy; his 3 grandsons, Al Ybarra and wife Alma, Michael Ybarra and wife Emily, Richard Jason Ybarra and wife Sumi; his 2 granddaughters Jessica and husband J R Lopez, Melissa and husband Josh Garcia; and his 12 great grandchildren, Nathan, Miranda, Julianne, Janelle, Alana, Ayden, Kourtney and husband Matt, Lauren and husband Matt, Ian, Hunter, Charlotte, Yena; his 4 great great grandchildren Addilyn, Tucker, Gianna, Sofia; and his sister Amelia Guzman. Richard had served in the United States Army for 2 years and United States Navy for 26 years of military service and retired from Civil Service after 34 years at Kelly Air Force Base. Richard has been awarded many outstanding innovative awards from the Navy, Air Force and his Civil Service duty at Kelly AFB. He had retired as Electronic Technician from civil service. He also worked as a Multi-Mode radar Transmitter Technician for Lockheed. He received his diploma from Air Force Institute of Technology School of Systems and Logistics. He had also started his own business CRS CONSULTING SERVICES for 10 years which he was working for the government to get many businesses bonded for government contracts. Richard was a very caring and patient man and very helpful for anybody that needed his help. He never turned anybody away, never said no to helping anyone. He was very understanding father. And helped and cared for all of us in the family. He will always be missed. He is now with our mother in heaven. May GOD watch over them both. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. followed by the Rosay at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Mission Park Burial Park Mausoleum, 20900 IH 10 West.
