Celebrating the Life of Tomasa P. Gonzales On Sunday, July 19, 2026, our beloved Tomasa P. Gonzales was called home to be with the Lord at the blessed age of 84. Born on October 5, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas, she was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, strength, and family. Tomasa is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank H. Gonzales Jr.; her mother, Rafaela Perez; her son, Jesse Gonzales; and her daughter, Marie Gonzales daughter-in-law, Hermalinda T. Gonzales; granddaughter, Lillia Angelica Gonzalez; grandson, Jesse Alexander Gonzales;. While our hearts are heavy with the pain of losing her, we find comfort knowing she is once again holding the hands of those she loved and is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Tomasa leaves behind her loving children: Frank Gonzales III, Felix Gonzales (Carol), Joe Gonzalez (Angelica), and Tammy Gonzales; her sister, Sylvia Gomez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know her. Tomasa was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend — she was the heart of her family. She was a devoted wife who loved her husband deeply and stood by his side through 61 years of marriage, caring for him and loving him until the very end. Their love was a beautiful example of commitment, loyalty, and devotion. She was a woman who loved with her whole heart. She worked hard every day to make sure her family had everything they needed. Her home was always clean, warm, and welcoming, and there was always a fresh stack of tortillas waiting for her husband and children when they came home. That was Tomasa — showing her love not through words alone, but through everything she did. She never asked for much in return. A simple phone call, a visit, or knowing her family was okay was all she needed. Her door was always open, her heart was always available, and she made sure everyone who walked into her home felt loved and welcomed. Tomasa was humble, caring, and funny. She had a personality that could light up a room. She was honest, outspoken, and never afraid to be herself. She loved her family fiercely and gave them a love that was real, unconditional, and unforgettable. She also loved a good game night. Whether it was bingo, Uno, or Monopoly, Tomasa was always ready to play — but don’t let her sweet smile fool you, because she came to win! She took those games seriously, and more often than not, she was the one celebrating victory. And if she didn’t win, she was always ready for a rematch. Those laughs, those moments, and those memories will forever be treasured. The love Tomasa gave will continue through every life she touched. Her strength, her laughter, her kindness, her stories, and the memories she created will forever remain with us. Although we wish we had more time, we are grateful for every moment, every lesson, every laugh, and every bit of love she gave us. She was a beautiful woman, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, and the foundation of her family. Until we meet again, Mom, Grandma, and friend — we love you, we miss you, and we will carry you with us forever.
